Neil has a
diverse bridge CV that includes winning most of Britain's major tournaments
as well as representing England on several occasions including twice in
2008. He and his partner Martin Jones won Britain’s most prestigious bridge tournament, the Schapiro Spring
Foursomes consecutively in both 2006 and 2007.
Neil now spends most of his time at the Ace of Clubs. His reputation as an
outstanding teacher sees students from a wide area attend his lessons, seminars
and supervised bridge sessions. He ran the world famous Acol Bridge Club for
nearly ten years before handing over the reins allowing him more time at the Ace
of Clubs.
Neil tries to give
back to bridge in many ways. He was Chairman of the Middlesex County
Bridge Association for three years and is still actively involved on the
Committee, and has served on the English Bridge Union’s Laws
and Ethics Committee.
Neil's current
interests include the role of assistant editor of
"Bridge Magazine" - the world's longest standing and most respected bridge
journal.
When not involved
with his busy bridge schedule he enjoys spending time at home with his wife Anne
(a successful bridge player in her own right) and two children Nikki (13) and
Andrew (7).
